Beyond Poverty and Vulnerability in Kenya is the latest publication that has been launched by the University of Nairobi press. Authored by Mwangi Maathai, the book tackles issues that the youth in Kenya are going through.

Speaking during the event, the Chief Guest, Prof. PLO Lumumba challenged the youth to avoid the culture of dependency, harness the resources within the African continent and liberate Africa.  He urged the youth to deconstruct the house of poverty that has been built over the years. “If you need things that require effort, you must put in more effort. Our Young men must see Africa as a rich continent and not the West, as the green grass,” he said.
