My argument is that: Direct Procurement Method is only applicable on ground of urgency or emergency when life and property are threatened and other methods are not practical. Lack of “reasonable” substitutes does not hold any water.

During the launch of the communication strategy 'Elimika', The participants had a match from the Chancellor's court to Taifa Hall. During the walk the security department had cleared the highway for the participants and ensured that the match was conducted without any hitch.
The Police Band offered entertainment during the match.
Security Department at the University of Nairobi offers security at most of the functions within the University. The 6th Open Day was no exception. The University was open to the general public and hence security was one of the things that would ensure success of the open day.
The Open day that was set to run for three days from April 28th-30th was offered security to the last minute.
Following the terror attacks in France, the Inspector General of Police has called on all Kenyans to be extra vigilant and alert.
The Inspector General cautioned: “Whilst we in the police have stepped up vigilance, we call on the public to exercise maximum levels of alertness. Report any suspicious activity and/or persons to the police or any security agency for action. Let’s work together to protect our motherland”
TERROR THREAT ALERT!
The Inspector General of police has warned that the Al shabaab terror group is planning to infiltrate through Kenyan borders during the ongoing rainy season and launch terror attacks in Coast, North Eastern and Nairobi regions.
He has however reassured Kenyans that the security agencies are working round the clock to safeguard the country from the threat and requested all citizens to collaborate with the security agencies as they execute this noble duty.
