The University of Nairobi has this afternoon; December 7, 2016 unveiled the longest water bowser in the country.
The water bowser carries 15, 000 litres of water and is an average of 6M long.
Speaking during the unveiling, Ag Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration and Finance, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Student Affairs, Prof. Isaac Mbeche said that with this new addition of a water bowser, the students will not lack water in the University and as much as possible all the other colleges and campuses should not have prolonged water shortages.
Prof. Mbeche said that the transport management at UoN has become more efficient. He urged the staff members to have a great attitude towards their work and maintain integrity.
Prof. Julius Ogola, Transport manager, thanked the University Management for heeding the call to buy another bowser. He said that this will increase their efficiency in serving the whole University, colleges and campuses.
Prof. Isaac Mbeche handed over the keys of the water bowser to the Estates Manager, Mr. Tracisio Thuita.
In total, the University has a total of 3 water bowsers with a total capacity of 40,000 Litres.
