Nairobi Innovation Week 2018 Partners Present Cheques

The 4th Nairobi Innovation week set to take place on March 5-9, had a cheque presentation event held on Wednesday February 14, 2018 at the Vice Chancellor’s Parlour.

Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Industry, Trade and cooperatives, Mr. Adan Mohammed, graced the early Wednesday morning event. He said the Nairobi innovation week has been a platform that brings the youth together and challenges the youth to engage in income generating activities. This year, the government will support 5000 small business entrepreneurs that are labour intensive and that will create jobs for the youth.

Prof. Peter Mbithi, Vice Chancellor, University of Nairobi, thanked the partners that have come on board in support of the Nairobi Innovation Week. He said that this year 100 start-ups will pitch. The official opening ceremony will be on the 7th of March, 2018. The full program can be found at

I choose life-Africa, National Bank of Kenya, National Environment Trust Fund, National Research fund and UoN Alumni Association were among the partners that presented their cheques in support of this year’s Nairobi Innovation Week.
